A Night to Remember
May 17, 2010
720 people visited the Gallery during the cultural event “Night of the Museums”, on May 15 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
This year, “Milan Konjović” Gallery also participated in the public’s favourite cultural event, “The Night of Museums”.
Saturday, May 15, was a night to remember for the 48 towns and cities of Serbia. Even tough the night was cold and rainy, groups of our fellow citizens and the guests of our town have taken turns in the gallery.
At 6 p.m. the gallery doors opened to the public. On the ground floor there was an exhibition of 28 landscapes, made in oil on hardboard, which was opened on the eve of Labour Day. On the first floor, visitors could see a part of the permanent exhibition. In the lobby of the gallery, films by Božidar Kalezić and Mihajlo Sekulić were shown. The films, in a very interesting way, showed Milan Konjović painting in front of the public, talking and making portraits. This whole event drew a big attention and it delightfully attracted no less than 720 visitors during the whole night.
It was very exciting up until 2 a.m. and it was also a real pleasure for the employees of the gallery because of the remarkable interest for this institution.
