Promotion of the Monograph held in Sombor

October 22, 2010 – Promotion of the Milan Konjović Monograph by Irma Lang was held in the Ceremonial hall of the Prefecture Building (Županija) in Sombor.
On Friday, October 22, starting at 5 p.m., there was a promotion of the book “Konjović – At Close Range” – the Monograph on Milan Konjović by Irma Lang. The promotion took place in the Ceremonial hall of the Prefecture Building in Sombor.
The monograph consists of two books: the first contains monographic text with colour reproductions, and the other is a catalogue of 3292 black and white photographs of Konjović’s paintings from all over the world.
After the welcoming words of the Mayor of Sombor, Nemanja Delić, and the Director of the „Milan Konjović“ Gallery, Peter Mraković, the promotion was opened by the Minister of Culture, Nebojša Bradić.
Sava Stepanov and Bela Duranci (the reviewers of the book) along with the author, Mrs Irma Lang, participated in the discussion.
The exhibition of Konjović’s drawings was opened in the “Milan Konjović” Gallery on the same day at 7 p.m. The exhibition was created by Nebojša Vasić, an academically trained painter from Sombor and employee of the Gallery.
The exhibition consists of 28 portrait and nude drawings which were made in Prague between 1919 and 1920.
The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Provincial Secretary for Culture, Radoslav Petković.
